second-thoughts
I'm having second thoughts about my trip to Europe.
Like, I really want to go and have this wonderful experience seeing new things and being with people I love in a place that I've dreamed about going my entire life, but like, there are so many things I want to do here. Even though I have like no friends here anymore, I want to stay here and be with people before I move across the country for four years, but like I said, I barely have any friends here anymore. Also, money. My parents are not going to pay one cent of my trip and I only have $1000 or so, so like I don't have the funds and I'm just in the mood to give up on it because I give up on everything in my life. I never follow through with my plans, and partially I think it's because I hate it here. I have no motivation. But on the other hand, going to Europe would be my chance to get out of here. SO MANY CONFLICTIONS. I'm not quite sure what I am going to do....

(braids)
There are so many things that you can do with your hair. You can flat-iron it, curl it, clamp it, twist it, braid it, crimp it, pin it, and so much more. Hair is probably one of the most vital fashion accessories in the whole entire world of fashion. How your hair looks can make such a statement, from easy and breezy to a slicked back up-do, what your hair looks like says so much about you. Lately I have been loving the look of braids. They are so cute and add texture and a little love to your hair. As many of you know, I am the girl who is known for chopping off her hair to her shoulders just about every 4 months. I love getting my hair cut, but sometimes (like tonight) I really wish my hair was long so I could wear it in a braid tomorrow. My fashion idol, Ashley Olsen, is famously known for saying that the braid is her best friend and I couldn't agree more. When you're having a bad hair day, braids make it better... When you want to spice up your look, braids make it better! If only my hair was down to my waist where it used to be.... 10 years ago.
I have issues. I should stop cutting my hair.

obsessed
First of all, you all should know that I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus. Everyone says how bad of a role model she is, but I totally disagree. I actually think she's one of the most honest celebrities out there because she's always herself no matter what critics say about her and I think that's amazing. This is her new song for the Bob Dylan tribute CD and honestly, its amazing. I think its up for country ballad of the year at some country award show and I think it should win because, seriously, just listen... it's beautiful! I am seriously legit obsessed with it!

summer.come.back.
Today I realized how much I miss summer, and how the summer of 2011 was probably my last summer completely home because I plan on having amazing adventures over the next couple summers. It's a little sad, but okay. I was looking through some old albums on Facebook from the summer and I realized that leaving is exactly what I need to do this summer. I never really fit in with the crowd of people I was hanging out with then, so doing my own thing this summer is exactly what I need to do. But nonetheless, I still had some amazing adventures in summer '11 and these are just a few of my photographs of some of the places I stumbled upon. I actually applaud myself for taking some legit photographs!
enjoy!

Today, because I got out of school at 10:15, my mom made me clean my room. My friend who is staying with me in my room came back from San Francisco tonight so I had to make it look presentable, and then this little post came about. I thought I would show all my little followers where I blog from. Soooo, this is my room!
black//wite
Recently I've decided that I love to wear black and white. That might seem strange to you if you know me personally because you would then know that I tend to wear lots of flowery colors and have a very boho/indie sense of style. But I just look to wear the classics, and I somehow manage to make it work with my style and make it look classy. I like it call it Classy Boho!
I think the key to looking classy is the proper us of black and white. What's classier than black and white? Pale pink? Maybe. Black and white is so clean and crisp and always looks good together no matter what so therefore, it's classy. Sometimes, people wear black and white to hide from fashion, but really black and white is probably one of the most fashionable mixtures of color out there. Think Coco Chanel-- all black and white-- one of the worlds most popularly known designers. Black and white can do so much for a person. It can make you look ten years older if you're young like me, or ten years younger if you've been alive for longer than thirty years. Black and white is the magic in fashion. It's the basis for everything. Black and white is simply exquisite.

YUM 101
So, maybe its because of all the stress from school or the pressure from my parents (and myself) to have enough money to basically buy everything and anything I need other than the necessities, but I have recently discovered how much I enjoy making and eating food. Especially food that doesn't come out of a box, unlike the rest of my family. The more ingredients the better, that's how I see it. I admit, I eat a fair amount of food, but I always make sure its the best food taste-wise and calorie-wise. I think one of the most relaxing things is coming home from a long day at school or work to the house all to myself then coming up with something from all the randomness found in the fridge, all while blasting some Miley Cyrus or Dixie Chicks.
While my friend's mom was here from Spain, she cooked our family an authentic Spanish omelet and ever since that dinner, I keep craving it. It's probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. It's breakfast that's dinner. And its not one of those things that's actually a breakfast food you eat at night time because it's trendy or a spur-of-the-moment meal... This thing is a legit dinner food, except its all breakfast! Seriously, the food gods must have made this dish just for me. I love breakfast.
Because I loved this wonderful omelet so much, after my friend's mom went back home to Spain (gah, 146 days!!) I decided that I'd try to whip something just like it up and this is what I came up with:
Ingredients
1 large egg
1 tsp milk
1/2 small red potato, diced
1/2 sausage link, pre-cooked
1 tsp mild salsa
1 tsp Mexican blend cheese
salt and pepper for seasoning
